Guided by a particular interaction of art and energy, his work has been influenced by two major sources, the Asian calligraphy inspired by Zenga, a technique practiced by the Buddhist monks’ intent on remaining in a state of awareness and the highly influential Japanese Zen monasteries of the Muromachi Period in the fourteenth and fifteen centuries.
